Geri (“Nana”) Patalano peacefully passed away on March 16, 2024 after almost 98 blessed years of active life. She was surrounded by immediate family members.
She was born on the island of Ischia, Italy to loving parents who eventually came to the USA in 1935 for better opportunities in the fishing industry. Most of her life here was in San Pedro, CA with time spent in Seattle before she and her late husband, Frank, retired to Palm Springs. Following his passing, she moved back to San Pedro before spending her final years in Fair Oaks.
Nana lived a strong life with total devotion and focus on family, faith and friends. She was the ultimate daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother (“GG”), Italian cook, hostess and party person who is remembered for so many good times around the table. Her faith was unwavering and many a set of rosary beads was worn down.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters and oldest grandson, Scott. She is survived by her brothers Carmen (Kathy) and John (JoAnna), daughter Annette (“Sis”) Vistica (Dan), and sons Anthony (Sue), Joe (Cathi), Mike (Lori) and Frank, Jr. (Stephanie) and 14 loving grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Divine Savior Catholic Church in Orangevale, CA on April 10 at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.
