Of Citrus Heights, CA, a native of Bountiful, UT, passed away April 19, 2017 at the age of 73.  He is survived his loving wife of 49 years, Cindy (Miller) Smedley.  Cherished father of Matthew (Shayla) Smedley, Brent (Ellen) Smedley and Jason (Lisa) Smedley.  Grandfather of Wyatt, Lahni, Hailey, Jackson, Abby, Preston, Tyson, Grace, Kali, Meg, Owen and Nash.  Brother of Merrill (Barbara) Smedley, Carolyn (Perry) Jordan, Becki (Paul) Toone, Ross (Shirlene) Smedley and Kevin (Laurie) Smedley.  Dennis devoted his life to serving others.  He loved cruises, travel, ice cream, creating beautiful fruit plates, puttering in his garden and most of all being with his family.  Friends are welcome for visitation Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 4-7PM at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA, 916-725-2109) and are invited to attend services Monday, April 24, 2017.  Viewing will be at 10AM.  The funeral will be at 11AM. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Carmichael Stake Center (4125 San Juan Ave., Fair Oaks, CA).  Interment at Bountiful City Cemetery, Bountiful, UT, on May 6, 2017.
