Elayne passed, peacefully in her sleep, on February 15, 2017, just shy of her 90th Birthday. She was born on April 11, 1927 in Taft, California, and grew up in Bakersfield. Elayne is survived by her five children: Denise Hawkins (Stambaugh), Donnis Topel (Stambaugh), Lee Stambaugh, Daniel Stambaugh, and Lisa Weber (Scofield). She will be missed by her grandchildren: Jami, Lori, Brandi, Craig, Jennifer, Sean, Troy, Shannon, and Cheri. She also leaves 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great! After living nearly 40 years in Bakersfield, Elayne made her home in Fair Oaks, California, with her late husband, Samuel Dale Scofield. For the past 5+ years she has been in nursing home care. She passed away at Napa Valley Care Center. May our Mother, and Grandmother, rest in eternal peace with her Lord and Savior.  Friends are welcome to attend the visitation on Monday, March 13, 2017 from 10:00AM-11:00AM with the funeral service at 11:00AM all at Price Funeral Chapel (6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, 725-2109).
