Francis Xavier Schwartz

Born February 24, 1950, passed away peacefully at home on February 12, 2018, just before his 68th birthday.  Frank was born and raised in Chicago, IL, where he and Phyllis were married in 1981. They passed four long winters in Chicago before Frank suggested that they move to California where their lives blossomed. He loved time in his beautiful garden which grew from his keen interest in horticulture. He was a successful entrepreneur with a wide variety of interests. Frank referred to himself as an amateur historian, and was widely read, with a particular interest in the Civil War Era and Early American history. Frank is survived by his loving wife Phyllis, sister Rina, nephews Kyle, Christopher and Trevor and many cousins, Phyllis' family and a myriad of friends. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Dr. Frank and Mrs. Joan Schwartz. Charitable donations to the American Cancer Society are appreciated. Friends are welcome for visitation on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA, 725-2109).  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Divine Savior Catholic Church, 9079 Greenback Lane, Orangevale, CA.
