Geraldine "Cherry" (Grix) Farr

Of Citrus Heights, CA, April 11, 2018, a native of Oakland, CA, and a long time former resident of Gahanna, OH age 86 years.  Daughter of Arthur William Grix and Violet Celia (Hall) Grix. Loving wife of the late Neil Christensen Farr.  Cherished mother of Jan (Carl) Wuebker, Greta Heddy, Beverly (David) Giroux, Ruth (David) Fluit, Nathan (Cristina) Farr and Ryan (Helen) Farr.  15 Grandchildren.  3 Great Grandchildren.  Cherry grew up in Ogden, Utah and graduated from Brigham Young University in Elementary Education. She taught school briefly after marrying Neil Farr in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.  She spent most of her life raising her 6 children and serving in the church in a variety of callings. She served a full time temple mission with Neil at the Washington DC temple and later served in the Columbus Ohio Temple. Cherry was known for her cheerful personality, kindness, love of cats, and amazing baking skills. She warmed hearts and made friends everywhere with her beautiful smile.  Friends are welcome for visitation Wednesday, April 18, 2018, from 4-8PM at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (6335 Sunrise Blvd., 916-725-2109) and Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 9-9:45AM, followed by a funeral service at 10AM at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Citrus Heights Ward Chapel (8056 Oak Ave., Citrus Heights, CA).   Visitation will also be held Saturday, April 21, 2018, 9-9:45AM followed by a memorial service at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Holladay 25th Ward Chapel (4650 Naniloa Dr., Holladay, UT) with interment following at 3PM at Ogden City Cemetery, Ogden, UT.
