James (Jim) Patrick Nally, 86, of Carmichael CA, passed Sunday, September 24, 2017 surrounded by family.  He graduated Chico State University with a Bachelors in Education and Sacramento State University with a Masters in Physical Education.  Jim went on to be an educator with the San Juan Unified School District for 37 years until he retired in 1996.  He is survived by his loving wife Gerry, of 56 years, daughter Tina, son-in-law Mike, son Jim, daughter-in-law Melinda, and grandchildren, Ryan, Patrick and Caitlyn.  Jim touched many lives and will be missed greatly.  The family will be holding an intimate celebration of life.  In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to an animal charity of choice in honor of Jim’s love for animals.
