Of Fair Oaks, CA, August 28, 2017, native of Hinton, OK, aged 88 years.  This unassuming, capable, industrious woman was a retired Chemistry Specialist Librarian, Chair of the Chemistry Div. at the Physical Sciences Library, UC Davis, 1973-1995, where a large donation was made in her honor by the Chemistry Dept.  She was Pres. of the Sierra Nevada Chapter of the Special Libraries Assn., Member of the Year award in 1990.  Pres., then Curia Vice Pres. of Legion of Mary, Virgin Most Faithful Presidio.  Built facility and established St. Mel's Church library, amassed and cataloged over 7,000 books and hundreds of audio and visual tapes.  Honored in 2006 as Woman of the Year at St. Mel, and by the Fair Oaks Library in 1998 for volunteer work.  Preceded in death in 2001 by her husband William Minor Ross, Jr.  Beloved mother and role model of Jody, Florence, and Mike.  Cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Stephanie, Diana, and Sydney, and great grandmother of four.  Friends are invited to Recitation of the Holy Rosary on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 9:30AM, ST. MEL CATHOLIC CHURCH (4745 Pennsylvania Ave, Fair Oaks, CA), followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM.  Interment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.  PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (916-725-2109), directors.
