Joseph Phillip Fouret Jr.

Joseph (Joe) P. Fouret passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 19, at the age of 87.  Joe was born May 26, 1930 in Trinidad, CO. which he forever loved. He graduated from the University of Colorado in 1954 and at the same time, received his commission into the US Air Force. He proudly served his country for 20 years until his retirement in 1974 as a Lt. Colonel. After the Air Force, he embarked on his second career with Caltrans’ Audit Division until his retirement in 1992. Joe loved his family, his Catholic faith and traveling. He shared his world and US travels, with his wife Barbara Fouret, his children, siblings and with friends. For Joe, there was always something new to see and explore. Heaven has gained a new tour guide. He was a loving husband of Barbara Fouret.  Beloved father of Mary Ann (Stephen) Mitchell, Christine Azevedo, Joseph (Jana) Fouret III, and James Fouret.  Cherished grandfather of Jeffrey, Stephanie, Samuel, Julia, and Rustam.  Friends and family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 10AM at DIVINE SAVIOR CATHOLIC CHURCH (9079 Greenback Lane, Orangevale, CA  95662).  Interment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation or to Divine Savior Catholic Church .
