Joyce Landers

 Joyce Landers 80, of Diamond Springs, California, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017, surrounded by family. She is survived by her children, Larry, Sherylynn, Ronnie(Pam), Janeen(Augie),and Leonard(Penny), she was pre deceased by her son Dennis Duggin (2007) and her Father, Bert Lee Smith and Mother, Viola Nadine Appling. She has 8 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and multiple Nieces, Nephews and her best friend Margaret. Early in life she worked as a Waitress and Bartender. While raising children and working full time she managed to go to College and become a Registered Nurse. She worked at the Veterans Home of Yountville and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, retiring from Folsom State Prison. She loved family above all else, she also loved camping, cooking, smoking and gambling. Joyce was the matriarch that everybody went to for advice, help or just to vent. She is and will be missed by all, including her dog, Paco. A Celebration of Life Potluck will be held at Joyce’s house on March 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
