Mark Dyson passed away June 28, 2017 at the age of 73, after a long battle with Alzheimer's/Dementia. Mark had a very loving demeanor and a great sense of humor. He was born on March 30, 1944 in Lowestoft, England to parents Samuel and Lilian Dyson. He was one of five children. At age 8 he and his family boarded the Queen Elizabeth to come to America to be sealed as a family in the Latter-day Saint Salt Lake Temple. His family settled in Ely, Nevada and eventually moved to Murray, Utah. It was there that he met and fell in love with his neighbor Kay Deveraux. After serving a mission in his home country, where he was able to baptize his grandfather, he returned to Utah and married his sweetheart Kay. Mark graduated from the University of Utah and moved to California to pursue a career with the IRS, where he worked and retired after 38 years. Mark and Kay raised three children, Diana, Tracey and Steven in Rocklin, California.  He was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mark served and acted as Bishop and a member of the Stake Presidency for many years. He touched many lives and left a great impression on the world. Mark loved fishing, camping, reading, writing, and his family. He was an affectionate man with a huge heart. He is survived in life by his wife Kay, daughter Diana and her husband Trek, daughter Tracey, son Steven and his wife Trista, grandchildren Trek and his wife Ashlee, Sara, Zackary, Miranda, Connor, Claire, Lilian, Sophie, Noah, and Ryley, siblings Arnold, David, Mary and Margaret. Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 4-8PM at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, 916-725-2109) and are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, July 7, 2017 with visitation from 9:00-9:45AM and the service starting at 10AM at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Rocklin Stake Center (2610 Sierra Meadows Drive, Rocklin, CA 95678). In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer's Association would be greatly appreciated. Interment to follow at the Newcastle Cemetery (850 Taylor Road, Newcastle, CA).
