Of Fair Oaks, CA. Born in San Francisco, Dick grew up in Burlingame. He then settled in San Jose and later in Fair Oaks. Preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert Sr. and Katherine Bostwick, brother, Robert, 1st wife, Jane Bostwick. Dick is survived by his wife, Gloria Bostwick, children Debbie Oliver and Julie Bostwick, step-children Tom Sinclair, Kathleen Nourse (Bill), Jim Sinclair (Kim), Bill Sinclair (Claire) and Mary Peerman. He had 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Dick was a private investigator during his career initially working for a law office and then owning his own investigative firm. Dick enjoyed outdoor activities especially gardening and travel. He loved to design, build and repair ... he always had a project. Dick was selfless and loving and always a perfect gentleman. He will be missed. Friends are invited to attend a viewing at 9:30 AM, Rosary at 10:00 AM, and the mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Divine Savior Catholic Church in Orangevale.
