William Ormsby Gotthardt – Born August 4, 1941, Portland, Oregon. Went to rest April 09, 2017, Sacramento, California, after a courageous battle with cancer that began in 2012.  Bill is survived by his beloved daughter, Andrea Carbajal; grandsons Isaiah and Joaquin Carbajal; loving sister, Stephanie, Cousins Fred A. and Ardith Gotthardt. His devoted wife of 32 years, Mary Ann Carrillo Gotthardt, passed before him in 2004.  Bill is remembered for his extreme intellect and thirst for knowledge, sense of humor and wit. He had a passion for golf, football and baseball, and had an amazing memory of the stats that went with them. In his later years, he enjoyed playing bridge and watching his grandsons play baseball. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.  Contributions may be made in William’s name to the American Cancer Society.  A service will be held Friday, April 21, 2017, from 1-2PM at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights).
