Betty E. Bettencourt passed away at the age of 94, in Roseville, California, surrounded by Family on October 8, 2018. Betty was born in Oakland, California on December 20, 1923 and lived in the Bay Area for her whole life.
Betty was happily married for 64 years to Joe Bettencourt, who predeceased her. Betty is survived by her son and daughter in law, Bob and Sharon Bettencourt of Roseville, California. Betty was the proud grandmother of Jonathan Bettencourt who predeceased her and of Jamin and Donna Martinez, of Penryn, California, Gennica and Mike Cochran of Seaside, California and Kaelynn and Cody Thomas of Rocklin, California and the Great Grandmother of Isabella, Riley, Stella and Lilah. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Emma Souza, her brother and sisters, William Souza, Irene Sarubbi and Janice Schiller.
Betty was a great wife, stay at home mother and grandmother. She embraced her role in life to the fullest. She and Joe enjoyed travel to many great places. To the very end she maintained her supportive ways and was always trying to help in any way possible. She will be missed by all.
Services will be held on Friday, October 19 at 10AM at St. Leander's Church, 474 W. Estudillo Ave., San Leandro, California with a reception to follow.

Betty enriched us all by her presence among us. She made us laugh at times, smile at times, cry at times, pull out our hair at time but we are all better for having known her.
