Carolu Palmer (McGagin) Wilson, age 81, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Auburn Faith Hospital, due to complications from congestive heart failure.
She was born in San Francisco, CA to Llewelyn and Marybeth Palmer.
Carolu worked with and championed for the physically and developmentally disabled while working for Sac County Office of Education. She was instrumental in influencing legislation to create programs to benefit infants and small children with developmental and physical disabilities throughout California.
Carolu lived an exemplary life of love and Christ like service to all around her, including a 3-year mission with her husband B. Gale Wilson in the Philippines.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Cathee Williams.
She is survived by her husband B. Gale Wilson; her brother Beau Palmer; sons Cary (Diana) McGagin, Brent (Sharman) Wilson, Steve Wilson, Gordon (Susan) Wilson and Craig (Gayla) Wilson; daughters Kelly Wilson, Colleen (Tim) Strazzo, Kathleen (Hernando) Perez, Karen Marie (Jeff) Belnap, Alta (Adam) Wilson; Virginia Wilson, 41 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Friends are welcome to a Memorial Service to be held on Friday, January 25 at 1:00PM at the Auburn California LDS Stake Center, 1255 Bell Road, Auburn, CA.
