Cheryl Spitler (Swickard) passed away May 3, 2017 at UC Davis Hospital.  She was born October 6, 1958 to Earl and Lynnette Swickard.  Cheryl received her education at California State University Long Beach (CSULB), earning a Bachelor of Music Degree with a Choral Vocal major and serving in the CSULB University Choir.  A truly gifted musician, she started learning piano at age four, and her love for music greatly impacted others throughout her life.  She was very involved in worship music, serving as a church pianist and choral director ensuring God-honoring music for over 35 years.  She was also passionate about sharing her gift with others through teaching piano and voice.  In her professional career, she worked in title companies and as an escrow officer and in tech support for a security company.  She also loved to play cards and she also loved crafts including painting ceramics, working in the garden and enjoyed her backyard, but mostly, she loved her cats Oreo and Snickers.  Cheryl leaves behind her husband of 33 years, John, and daughter Amanda, both whom she loved greatly.  Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11:00am at Faith Bible Church (8071 Old Auburn Rd Citrus Heights, CA).  Friends and family are also invited to attend a viewing on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 11:00am - 12:00pm at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA 95610).  She will be laid to rest on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 2:30PM at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery (5810 Midway Rd., Dixon, CA 95620).
