Edward “Harvey” McDonald, died peacefully on October 13, 2017 in Colfax, California, at the age of 82, surrounded by his family.  Harvey was born on February 16, 1935 in Holliday, Utah to Joseph and Evelyn Mae McDonald. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Finland.  Harvey received his Ph.D. the University of Utah and spent most of his career as a State Farm Agent.  He married Judy Parker in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1966.  In 2006 Harvey and Judy served a mission for their church to Ukraine.  Harvey is survived by his wife, Judy, and children Alicia (Scott Hollett), Melissa, Craig (Tracey), Ryan (Lora), and 10 grandchildren; Carley, Tyler, Matthew, Sara, Kyle, Ellie, Parker, Kaitlin, Bowden, and Miles.  He is also survived by his sister Jessie Nourse, brothers Douglas (Nanette) and Richard (Pamela). In addition to his family, Harvey greatest loves were serving others and gardening.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday October 21, 2017, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1876 South Auburn St, Colfax, California 95713.  Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Harvey to the Alzheimer’s Association, Northern California and Northern Nevada, 2290 North First Street, Suite 101, San Jose, California  95131  (www.alz.org/norcal/).
