Evalynn Florence Peterson

Evalynn Florence Peterson was born November 7, 1944, in Sacramento, California ... and passed away March 7, 2019 in Sacramento, California.  Evalynn grew up in Sacramento, and attended Encina High School, graduating in 1962, and attended some classes at American River College.  She was a wonderful ... daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She never married or had children of her own, but spent a good portion of her life helping teach, nurture, love and raise many children of both family and friends, which brought her great joy.  She was very talented ... she created beautiful stitcheries, doodles, and wrote poetry as well.  She held many callings in the church ... teacher, secretary, librarian, stake missionary ... and many more.  She was dedicated and faithful in all she did.  She loved the Lord, and served him faithfully throughout her life.  She was always in the service of others, and made friends easily, right up until the end ... where she made two new friends in the convalescent home, and was able to offer comfort and advice, once again giving of herself unselfishly.  Evalynn was preceded in death by her parents, Glade and Geneva Peterson, and her siblings Neil Peterson, Elma Gillis, Delbert Peterson, and brother-in-law Warren Schloeman.  She is survived by her sisters Chris Peterson, Anna Juarez, Maren Schloeman, and many nieces and nephews.  Evalynn was loved by many, and she will be truly missed.  May God be with each of us ... until we meet again.
