Of Citrus Heights, CA, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2019, age 91 years. Frank was born on November 29, 1927 in Clarksburg, California. When he was very young, he was placed in a Japanese internment camp. At the age of 15, his brother joined the US Army and both of them moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. His brother moved overseas to be a translator, leaving Frank as an orphan. He then was raised in a foster home in a Christian home, until graduating with honors from high school. He received a full 4 year scholarship and earned a degree in Art. Frank then went on to own and operate an art studio in Minneapolis called Studio 1, where he designed art for companies and also the space program. At the age of 50, he decided to change direction and sold the business and moved to San Francisco in 1980. It was there he met the love of his life; Virginia. They married and were together until his passing. It was three years later that he decided to attend Bethany Bible College in Santa Cruz to pursue studies in ministry. He was there only for a short time, before his instructors removed him from the college, because they realized that he knew more than the instructors! He then went to school at Fuller Seminary and graduated with his Master of Divinity degree. Frank and Virginia helped church planting with the Japanese Free Methodist Church. They were both very active in the Orangevale Free Methodist Church in Orangevale for many years. Frank will be greatly missed.
Friends and family are invited to the funeral service on Friday, November 1, 2019 at 10:00AM at Oak Avenue Church, 8790 Oak Ave., Orangevale.
