Dear Duncan Family - We send you our heartfelt sympathies -- it made us very sad to learn about Gertie. I thought Gertie would be with us for forever -- she was kind and caring and had a great natural sweetness that can never be replaced. The years went by too quickly -- now I wish we could turn the clock back and visit again with Gertie -- we truly loved Gertie and will never forget her many kindnesses to our family. With all our love, Claudia, Sean, Merritt and Maddie

Gertie was a blessing to us all. We remember with fondness family dinners and her wonderful chocolate cake She will be deeply missed -- we look forward to dancing, singing and praising our Lord together with Gertie (and Jack) in Heaven.

Our daughter, Diane Clipp, was enrolled at Laurel Ruff Center in the mid 70s and was blessed to have Gertie driving her bus. Gertie was such a blessing to every child and parent on her route. She was kind, gentle, loving, dependable, understanding and reassuring......the 'kids' loved her and as a parent we were 100% confident and comfortable to have Gertie busing our child to school.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Gertie's family, she was an angel on earth, God bless all of you.
