James William Prather

Of Rancho Cordova, CA, passed away on June 21, 2019 at Sutter Medical Center-Sacramento. He was 86 years old. He was born on March 16, 1933 in Commerce, OK to Wesley and Mary Josephine (Grayson) Prather. Jim married Delia Mitchell on June 6, 1955, in Reno, Nevada. They were married for 64 loving years. He is survived by his children; Colby (Leslie) Prather of Las Vegas, NV, Rick (David) Prather of Riverside, CA, Liz Prather of Rancho Cordova, CA, Bill Prather of Rancho Cordova, CA, grandchildren; Colby (Christina) Prather of Las Vegas, NV, Shaun Prather of Barstow, CA, great-grandsons; C.J Prather and Jacob Prather both of Las Vegas, NV, sister; Jeanne Parlette of Sacramento, CA, and cousins; Marsha Wynne and Cassandra Wynne both of Palm Springs, CA. He was preceded in passing by his parents and brother, Bob Prather.

Family and friends are welcome for visitation from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Price Funeral Chapel, 6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights (916-725-2109), and are invited to the graveside service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Camellia Memorial Lawn, 10221 Jackson Road, Sacramento.
