Longtime resident of Rancho Cordova, California, John passed away on November 4, 2017 at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, he was a native of Mobile, Alabama. John retired from the U.S. Air Force after 23 yrs. of service and was a lifelong member of the Air Force Security Police Association.  John was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and loved spending time with family, friends, especially fellow service members.  Raising cattle was his main hobby. Preceded in death by his loving wife Kay, survived by his sons; Jon Spencer, Don Spencer, Alan (Bethanie) Spencer, and Bob Spencer, and grandchildren; Sydney, Jon, and Sean. John was much loved, and will be greatly missed.  Friends are welcome for visitation on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 10:30AM-11:30AM at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, 725-2109) and are invited to the graveside service with full military honors provided by the Travis Air Force Base Honor Guard at 1:30PM at the Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery (5810 Midway Road., Dixon, California).
