Of Orangevale, CA, passed peacefully March 9, 2019, with family by her side at the age 100 years. Leah was born in 1918 and spent her childhood years in both Indiana and Utah. She later moved to California and settled with her parents and siblings in San Francisco. At 15 she met her sweetheart, Jack. They married in 1939 and spent everyday devoted to one another and their only daughter Sharon. Leah and Jack moved to the Sacramento area in 1977 to join their daughter and four grandkids. She filled her days baking goodies, gardening, hosting family dinners, and socializing with her many dear friends. There wasn’t a day that went by that she wasn’t on her phone checking in on someone or sharing some news of her own. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had been a member of the same congregation for over 40 years. Leah was loved and cared for by many. She was the cherished mother of Sharon (Fred) Frank. Grandmother of Timothy (Angie) Elkington, Kristin (Scott) Jackman, Jennifer Elkington (Brad) and Jamie (Preston) Stauffer and Great Grandmother of Brittani (Devin), Bailey, Carson, Dylan, Austin, Taylor, Cody, Danny, Brayden, Kaitlyn, Chase, Ethan, Noah and Samantha. Sister of Russell Will and deceased siblings: Jean Manning, Samuel Will, Logan Will, Robert Will and Lorene Stocking. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the care team at Fair Oaks Eskaton as well as the Kaiser Morse Staff. Your love and care was greatly appreciated.
