Loretta Boston Obituary

Loretta “Lori” Kravet Boston, 68, of Sacramento, California, passed away in her home on March 27, 2019.  Born August 12, 1950 in Whittier, California, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Kravet and Leona Smith Kravet.  Lori grew up in Roy, Utah and moved to Mountain View, California in 1973.  In 1981 she moved to the Sacramento area where she met her husband of 32 years, Dale Owen Boston. Lori worked for 24 years at Mercy San Juan Hospital.  She especially loved working with newborns in the NICU. In recent years she worked as a home healthcare nurse and was very attached to her clients and regarded them as family.  She will always be remembered for her quick thinking and heroic acts. To share a few: she saved a daughter from choking to death, resuscitated a stranger who had a heart attack at the Dallas airport, and most recently made the local news, credited with saving a family’s home and neighborhood from a fire. Lori held a soft spot for all of God’s creatures and always seemed to find room for one more needy cat, dog or chicken. She appreciated the beauties of nature, from her flowering rose garden where she took time to “smell the roses” to changing cloud formations in the big blue sky. The beauties of the earth were not lost on her.  She filled her home and surrounded herself with sentimental objects, cards and photographs of family. She had a beautiful singing voice and will be greatly missed.  Lori is survived by her husband, Dale Owen Boston, 5 daughters; Amber (Lee) Doty, Jacque (Scott) Fernandes, Krystal (Nicholas) Lozano, Crysta Boston, Gabby Boston; one son, Jordan Boston; siblings, Sarah (Jeff) Kravet-Prowell, Michael (Elly) Kravet, Linda Marcus; 8 grandchildren, Teneisha, Shelley, Alexandra, Giovanna, Elena, Ryan, Audrey, and Conner; and 1 great grandson, Ansel.  Memorial services will be held Monday, April 15th at 1:00pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3440 Mission Avenue, Sacramento. The family will receive friends from 12 to 12:45pm.  At a future date, Lori will be laid to rest alongside her mother at Larkin Sunset Cemetery in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Please share the news of her passing with anyone that knew her.  You may also consider helping out her family as they navigate her loss and move forward through this difficult time. Donations will go directly to offset the cost of memorial and interment expenses.  https://www.gofundme.com/loretta-kravet-boston-memorial?teamInvite=lSsTKaZorHDovuYYeZitPcBDOm3gWVvVU6V3zdyR41ZAczPxoEYBy5V8wOt1xulu.  PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (916-725-2109), directors.
