Rosella S. Muncy

Rosella (Sims) Muncy, a longtime resident of El Dorado County and Citrus Heights CA, passed away peacefully of natural causes on December 1, 2018 at the age of 92.  She is predeceased by her husband’s Walter A. Muncy and Edgar F. Meixner, parents Eula Fay Newton and Walter Amos Sims, six siblings Mary, Walt Jr., Audrey, Betty, Barbara and Marvin.  She is survived by her son Rick Meixner and daughter-in-law Donna, children Laurie, Jesse and Ajay.  Daughter Theresa Tarin, children Tara and Tani, and sixteen great grandchildren.

Rosella was born in Checotah, Oklahoma on July 28, 1926.  As a young child she traveled with her family from Oklahoma to California looking for work during the Great Depression.  Her love in life was her family, and she will always be remembered as “Grandma.”  Her gift for sewing has left us with so many cherished items.  She will be dearly missed.
