Susie was born August 28, 1935 in North Carolina to parents Romey L Parrish and Mildred I Parrish.
Preceded in death by her husband Franklin Williams of sixty years.
She is survived by a son Mickey Williams of Coos Bay, Oregon, brother Larry Parrish of Vancouver, Washington and sister Mary Francis Watkins of Clayton North Carolina. She has five grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and twenty-five great great grandchildren.
Susie grew up on a tobacco farm and worked very hard all her life in the fields along with our parents and older children. At a young age she learned the benefit of hard work and discipline. At the age of seventeen she left home and moved to Raleigh, N.C. where she got a job working at Woolworths lunch counter, in her off time she babysat for a lady from whom she rented a room. Susie married Franklin a couple years later and relocated to Fair Oaks, California where she worked in a small bakery. She was then hired by the BelAir super market chain as General Manager of the bakery department for all the stores in the Sacramento area. She worked in that position for over 25 years before retiring.
Susie had a compassion for helping people. Over the years she and her husband allowed many family members and friends to live with them (without charge) until they got back on their feet.
I was one of those people that my sister and brother in law helped.
I will never forget and will always love you, enjoy your time in heaven and when my time comes I know you will be there to greet me with open arms. Larry
