It is with great sadness the family of Tom Finn announces his passing on June 4, 2018 at the age of 77. Born April 26, 1941, the eldest child of Frank W. Finn and Betty (McDonnell) Finn, Tom grew up in Sebastopol, graduating from Analy High School in 1958. He attended Santa Rosa Junior College and served four years as a medical corpsman in the US Navy. Tom spent most of his life in Sonoma County enjoying more than 33 years in Healdsburg with his wife Catherine before they moved to Citrus Heights to be closer to family. Although dealing with multiple health issues during the last few years, Tom kept a positive attitude and continued to enjoy all the time he could spend with his large family especially his mini-me grandson Samuel.
Always an avid reader and lover of music, Tom was also a talented artist. A kind and loving man, his wonderful sense of humor was treasured by all who knew him and he kept us laughing to the very end.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his dearly beloved brother Fr. Bill Finn and grandson Daniel. He is survived by his dedicated wife of nearly forty years, Catherine, sister Terry (Bill) Marquering, son Michael (Renee) Heidecker, daughters Michele (Gerald) Smith, Melissa (Frank) Rustia, April Finn, and Elizabeth (Sean) Saturday, as well as 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces & nephews.
Tom will be greatly missed and always loved by all of us.
