Albert Earl Wolfgang

A native of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Albert passed away at the age of 91.  Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma Jean Wolfgang (née Atkins), he has now joined her in heaven. Albert lived a full and remarkable life, traveling the world as a decorated U.S. Army officer while proudly serving his country.  Along the way, he fearlessly led his beloved “vagabond troupe” — his wife, daughter Annette, a Siamese cat, and a Collie dog — wherever and whenever the military called.  After retiring from the Army, Albert and his family settled in Sacramento, California, where he continued his career as a California State employee.  He also became a devoted fan of the San Francisco
49ers and Sacramento Kings, proudly cheering them on as a season ticket holder.

Albert will be remembered for his service, his sense of adventure, his loyalty to family, and the full life he built with those he loved.  Interment will take place at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California on July 23, 2026, at 10:15 am.
