Alfred ‘Al’ Eugene Dedrick Cornelison (93) died on April 8, 2025, surrounded by those who loved him.
He was born on January 8th, 1932, in Branson, Missouri to Roy & Demma (Kaneaster) Cornelison.
Staff Sergeant (E-6) Cornelison, Alfred E. honorably served in the United States Army. During this time, he served in the 1st Battalion of the 19th U.S. Army Infantry Regiment and the 24th U.S. Army Infantry Division. He fought in the initial invasion of Korea for which he was awarded two bronze stars for exemplary action in combat.
He met his wife, Patsy, in Monterey and it was love at first sight. They were married three weeks later on July 5th, 1952, and were lifelong companions until her passing in 1989. He is survived by four children: Mary Alida, Allen, Ray, & Becky, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and countless other family and friends who loved him dearly.
He will be remembered for his vigorous strength and unwavering spirit. We will miss his storytelling, kind wisdom, and generosity.
People are encouraged to attend a celebration of life in his honor on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 12 p.m. It will be located at the Rescue Community Center. (4180 Green Valley Road Rescue, CA 95672).
