Anita Marie Allen

Anita was born in the small town of Goshen Utah. She was the seventh child of ten to Wilford Sherwin Thomas and Ruth Rowe. She went to Goshen School for her early schooling. Later attended Payson High School, in Payson Utah. At the age of 16 she married her high school sweetheart Lynn Allen on 12 April 1947. in Salt Lake City. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple 23 Nov 1963. She spent 20 yrs. following her sweetheart from Air Force Bases in Europe and USA. Lynn passed on 29 Jan 1982.  Her parents, 6 brothers and 2 sisters proceeded her in death. She has 3 surviving sisters. She is survived by her children, Kathryn L Graham, Billy Lynn Allen. Two grandsons Christopher J. Graham, Shawn A Graham, and 6 great grandchildren. 
She served 5 missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. The first mission she served alongside her husband in Spokane Seattle, Washington. Also, a Stake mission in the Citrus Heights area. She also served one of the first Humanitarian Missions in the Church. Plus, two other humanitarian callings. She served as President of many organizations. She was an avid quilter and spent many hours quilting or teaching people to quilt. She also made many quilts for the Neonate ICU UCDMED Center. She loved to do Family History and spent her last few months filling books of Family History for her children and grandchildren.
She was known as Grandma Anita to all of her grandchildren's friends and the neighborhood kids. She spent hours listening to their stories and guiding them through life.
She also spent hours teaching young sisters her love of quilting, gardening, and other interests. She loved sharing the gospel and Heavenly Father's Plan for us.
