Anna Louise Preddy

It is with the heaviest of hearts and sadness we announce the passing of Anna Louise Preddy on August 26, 2021. 89 years young and just a few days short of her 90th birthday, she will truly be missed and loved by all those in her life.

Anna was born September 4th, 1931, in Parris, Arkansas and was the beloved daughter of Marie and Frank Mosley. Anna lived the life of a coal miner’s daughter before moving to San Francisco as a child. Anna had two siblings; brother Jim who passed from this earth before her, and is survived by sister Wanda, residing in South Carolina.

Anna spent much of her life caring for a family that included three children; Deborah of Citrus Heights, Judith (w/ son-in-law Dave) of Orangevale and Robert (w/ daughter-in-law Mary) of Roseville. Anna was known as “Nan” to her two grandsons; Rob of Winchester and Jeremy of Rocklin, and “Great Nan” to her two great-grandsons; William and Wyatt. Nan, please give Malorie a kiss for us.

Preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and loving husband of nearly 50 years, Bob. Together they provided a wonderful example of a loving marriage. Anna enjoyed outings with Bob and family including camping in the redwoods and trips to the seashore and California missions. Reading, crossword puzzles, Jeopardy, playing cards, bowling, family get-togethers and the occasional trip to the casino were just a few of the things Anna enjoyed. Anna didn’t learn to drive until she was 30, (imagine getting three kids around San Francisco with no car) but made up for it until later in life a series of stokes made it difficult for her to drive.

Moved from San Francisco to Citrus Heights in 1964 where Anna raised her family. Always involved in her kids’ lives she spent countless hours being the taxi for sporting events, volunteering at school and keeping them healthy.

Anna was a strong woman and a good person that put family first. Liked by all that met her, Anna will be missed and remain forever in our hearts.

Friends and family are invited to attend the memorial service on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 10:00AM at Price Funeral Chapel, 6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA,  with a private family only gravesite service following.
