Anny Miller Obituary

Anny Marie Georgette Haberman, lovingly known as Anny, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, in Carmichael, California, at the age of 96. She was born on July 27, 1929, in Paris, France. A memorial service will be held on March 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Price Funeral Chapel in Citrus Heights.  Reception to follow at 2:30, at 3430 Mission Ave. Carmichael, the LDS church.

Anny lived a life full of joy, adventure, and love. She grew up in Paris during World War 2 and later moved to the United States after marrying her first husband, Robert Waltke. They lived in New York where she gave birth to her only child Anne-Marie, then worked for the French National Railroad in Manhattan where she built many lasting friendships. Her talent and leadership later brought her to the San Francisco office, where she worked until her retirement in the 1990s.

On May 30, 1981, she married Ken Miller. Together they built a happy life in Northern California and shared many wonderful adventures.

Anny loved to travel. Through the Peninsula Travellarian Group, she and Ken explored many places around the world, including Japan, Turkey, Greece, and Switzerland. They also traveled across the country in their RV and flew with friends and family in Ken’s private airplane to places such as Lake Tahoe, Reno, and Washington.

Anny was also creative and gifted with her hands. She enjoyed knitting beautiful sweaters and tops, and sewing curtains, bedspreads, and other items for the home.

Her Christian faith was central to her life. She expressed it through kindness, friendship, hospitality, and a positive spirit. She was especially known for hosting elegant dinner parties and preparing wonderful multi-course French meals for family and friends.

Anny is survived by her loving family: Anne-Marie Cronin, Greg Cronin, Russell Cronin, Naomi Cronin, Sharon Hart, Curt Miller, and Pam Miller.

Anny will be remembered for her warmth, laughter, generosity, and adventurous spirit. She lived with hope and joy, and her memory will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.
