In Loving Memory of Barbara J. (Tarrico) Fouret (1937-2023)
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend Barbara Fouret passed away peacefully on August 28, 2023, at the age of 85. Succumbing to natural causes, she departed this world surrounded by the love of her family. Barbara was born in San Francisco in 1938 and grew up in Modesto where she met the man of her dreams, Joseph Fouret. Barbara & Joe were married in 1958 and were partners in life for 60-years until Joe’s passing in 2018. Their marriage was one of love, commitment and adventure and it’s comforting to know they are together once again.
Barbara's warm smile and open heart touched the lives of many, making her a cherished figure among family and friends alike. She dedicated herself to her family, nurturing her four children and guiding them with unwavering support. As a grandmother, she reveled in the joy of her grandchildren, filling their lives with stories, laughter, and love. Barbara's passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her, but her memory will forever be cherished. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends. She was the loving wife of Joseph Fouret and beloved mother of Mary Ann (Stephen) Mitchell, Christine Azevedo, Joseph (Jana) Fouret III & James Fouret and cherished grandmother of Jeffrey, Stephanie, Samuel, Julia, and Rustam. Rest in peace, dear Barbara. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved you.
To honor Barbara and celebrate her life, friends and family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 10:30AM at Divine Savior Catholic Church (9079 Greenback Lane, Orangevale, CA 95662). Interment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery (7100 Verner Ave Citrus Heights, CA 95621).
