Our beloved mother Bessie Kealoha Laster was born on April 8 1933 in Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii and passed away on August 2nd 2022 in Rocklin, California from a long standing illness.
She was the last remaining member of her family of 11 children.
She is survived by her three children, her daughter and son-in-law Jack and Patricia Raquel Jr. of Rocklin, CA.
Her son and daughter-in-law James and Kathy Laster Jr. of Utah.
Her daughter and son-in-law Glynda and Jon Koch of Illinois.
She has 6 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was a resident of Citrus Heights for forty seven years after the retirement from the Navy of her husband James.
She was a dedicated military wife for twenty four years.
Traveled the country to the many duty stations the Navy assigned them to.
She was always active with her many interests and volunteer work, especially her teachers aid position at her grandson Michael's elementary school for 6 years. Her later years she was a resident of Brookdale Senior Living in Rocklin, CA.
The final two years of her life, she resided with her daughter Patricia and son-in-law in Rocklin, CA, where she passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Friends and family are welcome to attend the memorial service at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Price Funeral Chapel, 6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, 916-725-2109.
