Worthen on April 22,1948 in the St. George Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They are the parents of 3 children - DeAnne Greene (Stewart), LaRayne Cleek (Dahl) and Robert Worthen (Paula). Bette has 8 Grandchildren - Jeremy Cleek (Paige), J.D. Cleek (Julie), Claire Greene, Mary-Catherine Greene (Byron Palmer), Meghan Greene, Jason Worthen (Kaylynn), Kelsey Worthen (Nate Brown) and Preston Worthen (Kylee); 11 Great-Grandchildren - Avery Cleek; Taryn & Ty Cleek; Hannah, Taylor, Charles & Ethan Palmer; Maverick & Thea Worthen; Bronwyn and Kinsley Brown. A graveside service will be held on January 29, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. She will be interred in the St. George, Utah Cemetery next to her husband D.J. Among Bette’s greatest sources of joy were her membership and service in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and serving in the Los Angeles Temple with D.J. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Gurtej and Taranjit Dhillon and Bette’s dear friends who loved and cared for her. If asked, Bette would tell you that what she treasured most in life was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. When Jeremy was asked to describe his grandmother, he was quick to respond that “she loves everyone and believes that every day is the best day.” How deeply grateful we are for our mother and for the faith we cherish that families are eternal.
