Carl Edwards passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning after courageously battling esophageal cancer for the past 18 months.
Born in Afton, Wyoming, Carl spent the majority of his life in Northern California—residing for 50 years in Martinez before moving to Roseville, where he lived for the past decade. He was a proud member of the Carpenter’s Union in Martinez until his retirement.
In his later years, Carl dedicated his time and energy to the things he loved most: his faith with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, fellowship with the VFW and the American Legion, and his passion for researching family history through genealogy.
Carl is survived by his son, Brian; his beloved granddaughter, Jayden, the joy of his life; his three brothers, Roger, Ronald, and Robert; his sister, Barbara; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Fiends and acquaintances are cordially invited to attend memorial services on Wednesday October 8, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 1240 Junction Blvd., Roseville, CA 95747. Family viewing at 9:00am with services to follow at 10:00am. Lunch immediately following the services.
