Carmen Hilda Detres

Carmen Hilda Detres age 91 of the city of Citrus Heights, CA went to heaven on June 6, 2025. She peacefully passed at home in her bed with family by her side. For her age she was relatively healthy but did have late stages of dementia which aided in her passing.

Born 12/29/33 Carmen was a beloved mom, wife, sister, aunt, grandma and loving friend.

Born in Puerto Rico she moved to New York with her mother and father when she was three years old. She married Rocco Sinisi Sr.  in New York in 1959.  After the birth of her first son Rocco Jr. the family then migrated to California in 1962.  After arriving in California she was blessed with the births of two additional sons Dominic and Christopher.     

Carmen had a charismatic personality full of laughter and wit. She loved to cut hair, travel, read and enjoy life. One of her favorite pastimes was to sing.  God blessed her with a tremendous operatic singing voice that she not only used for the church choir but anywhere she could.  She loved to sing.

Carmen is survived by her three sons, Rocco Sinisi Jr., Dominic Sinisi and Christopher Sinisi, her brother Augustine Detres Junior, many nieces, nephews and grandchildren whom will all miss her dearly.

Carmen is now in heaven by God’s side with her deceased family members and friends. We know she is singing and leading that choir! Her surviving family members love her and will miss her dearly.
