Cecylia Zakrzewski

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend Cecylia Zakrzewski passed away peacefully on the morning of October 9, 2023, at the age of 91 due to natural causes. She departed this world surrounded by family and friends. 

Cecylia was born in Poland in 1932. During World War 2 she spent her time in Polish refugee camps, mostly in India. After the war, she eventually found herself in America where her family settled in Chicago. Once there, she married Jacek Zakrzewski. They moved to Sacramento in 1960 where she made many, many lifelong friends.

Cecylia spent her life working in the fashion industry as a model and later in sales. She loved sales as she made friends with everyone. She finally retired at the young age of 88.

Cecylia is survived by her sister Maria Kurowski , Park Ridge, IL, son Richard (Deborah), granddaughters Diane (Cody) and Melanie (Adam), and great-granddaughter Tinleigh who will all miss her dearly.

To honor Cecylia and celebrate her life, friends and family are invited to attend a viewing at Price Funeral Chapel on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 12:30PM (6335 Sunrise Blvd, Citrus Heights, CA). Interment will be at 2:00PM at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery (7100 Verner Ave. Citrus Heights, CA).
