Christopher Lee Simmons

Christopher Lee Simmons, 41 passed away on August 19, 2024, in Citrus Heights CA. Chris affectionately known as” CRITTY BO” to his friends was born to Dennis Eugene Simmons and Linda Lee Runyon at American River Hospital in Carmichael CA on July 13th, 1983.

Chris was a saved man and prayed thankfully and sincerely from his heart throughout the day praising God for everything he received and the people in his life. He grew up and lived most of his life in the Sacramento area, other than his service time in the Army, but he was always up for a road trip, and any trip with him was going to be an experience. He attended American River College before meeting his wife Stephanie and soon after they had Presley, she truly was the light of his life.

Chris's true loves in life were his family, whom he would die for without question and even if he wasn’t with them, they were with him in his heart. He loved riding bikes, a lifelong passion he shared with his brother until the end. His bikes were always his pride and joy which he tuned to perfection and used as a paint template to express himself. He loved music and most of all fireworks! The 4th of July was his day above all the other holidays combined. Chris loved to look nice, and his “fits and bling” were coordinated perfectly to his definite Critty only style. His blue and baby blue plaid was legendary.

Chris was especially good with younger people and children, because he never gave up on being young at heart. He was always the one who wouldn’t say no, his niece and nephews knew they could always count on him for the ride to the park or to play the game. He could talk to them and make them feel special about what they did, wanted to do or just encouraging them along the way. Chris never forgot the child like wonder of things and lived his life to his own song. His big heart and spirit are what will be missed the most and our worlds are going to be emptier and less bright for losing him.

Chris is survived by his wife Stephanie Eileen Simmons, beautiful daughter, Alexis Presley Simmons, stepdaughters Veronica Eileen and Vanessa Lynn, his parents Dennis and Lindy Simmons, Brother, Gene Michael and Sis, Jennifer Lynn, his grandmothers Geraldine Runyon and Caroline Simmons. He was a loving Uncle to his nieces and nephews Braydon, Jaxon, Violet, Tony, Ayden and Kiayna. He was preceded by his grandfather’s Dennis Roger Simmons whom he had a special relationship with and Robert Lee Runyon.

Friends and family are welcome for viewing Saturday, August 31st at 9am with service at 10am. Both will be at Price Funeral Chapel (6335 Sunrise Blvd., (916) 725-2109. There will a wake, reception, get together at Dennis and Linda’s home (7060 Kingsmill Way, Citrus Heights, CA 95610) following and we would love to see anybody who wishes to come.
