Celebration of Life for Dannie Pastor
September 3, 1943 - November 5, 2025
Granite Bay, California
With deep love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Dannie Pastor; a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a man of unwavering faith who went home to the Lord on November5, 2025.
Born on September 3, 1943, Dannie lived a full and purposeful life grounded in faith, family and community. A long-time resident of Granite Bay, California, Dannie was known for his warm smile, generous heart, little blue truck, and steadfast devotion to helping others. He was deeply connected to his community, always ready with an encouraging word, a prayer, or a helping hand.
If you ever saw him standing in line, you know he always had something to say, and better yet, a story to tell, a memory to share, or a tale that might take a few turns before you could catch up. These stories, sometimes winding and often unforgettable, were one of the many, many thang we loved about him.
He was affectionately known by many as "the Mayor of Granite Bay," a title that fit him perfectly, because he truly made everyone feel seen, valued, and part of his extended family.
Dannie was a proud father to Rachel Gaines, Brent Pastor, and Katie Pastor Trinidad, who will forever carry forward his values of kindness, strength, and faith. His loss was preceded by his beloved son-in-law and best friend, Gene Gaines. Dannie also lovingly welcomed Lindy Pastor and Dan Trinidad into the family, embracing them as his own. He found great joy in being "Grandpa Dannie" to his grandchildren, Zach and Brandon Todd, Sheldon & Reese Taylor, Brandon Bonnell, and great-grandfather to Liam, Abby, Christian, Remington, Ryder & Eloise - each of whom brought endless pride and laughter to his life.
He is survived by his beloved younger sister, Sharon, and was a loving uncle to many cousins, several of whom looked up to him as a second father - a steady presence of wisdom, humor, and love throughout their lives.
Above all, Dannie was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. his greatest mission was leading others to believe and follow Christ through his example of love, humility, and grace. He lived his life as a reflection of God's goodness - always patient, always giving, and always faithful.
Through Dannie's earthly journey comes to an end, his spirit lives on in the lives he touched. His legacy of faith, compassion, and community will continue to inspire those blessed to have known him.
"Well done, good and faithful servant... enter into the joy of your Lord." - Matthew 25:23
