David Russell Droege

Wonderful husband, brother, father and grandfather who passed away on April 16, 2025.

Russell was proud of his military serve and honored to have served. He volunteered to with the U.S. Air Force and served his country for 20 years. Upon his retirement he pursued a lifelong goal of becoming a teacher. He is predeceased by his wife, Mary Droege, and is survived by his daughter Nancy; his son David and his wife Brooke; his granddaughter, Leona; his sister Carolyn; and his brother Jeff.

Russell was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend; he was truly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stanford University, School of Medicine, to further research and find a cure for sarcoma cancer.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service honoring Russ on April 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at Price Funeral Chapel located at 6335 Sunrise Blvd, Citrus Heights, California. Friends and family are also invited to attend the graveside service on April 30, 2025, at 1:15 p.m., at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, located at 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, California
