Dean was born in Winnemucca, Nevada on March 2, 1934. He passed from this life on February 18, 2020 at his home in Lincoln, California onto his next mission and joined his eternal companion Beverly. Dean was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many capacities within the church. Dean was a career military man and served for almost 23 years in the Navy. He was stationed in several countries and states, including Japan, the Philippines, Guam, Hawaii and Washington DC to name a few. He retired as a Lt Commander in December 1973. He is survived by his wife, Betty Brockbank; 6 children, Leilani Hawkins, Dean O. Brockbank, Jack M. Brockbank, Daniel Brockbank, Utahna Walker and Shelly Gaiter and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He left a legacy rich with friends, family and people who adored him. He will be remembered. Friends are welcome for visitation Friday, February 21, 2020, 4-7PM at Price Funeral Chapel (6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, California) and are invited to attend a funeral service Saturday, February 22, 2020, 11:00AM at the Lincoln 2nd Ward Chapel, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (1155 Liberty Lane, Lincoln, California). Interment with full military honors will be March 11, 2020, 2:00PM at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, California.
