Deanne Kay Meinzer Ellsworth was born on December 7, 1937, and passed away peacefully
at her home with her loved ones on October 29, 2025, at the age of 87. She was the eldest of
seven children born to Lester Noel Meinzer and Isabella Claire Richardson.
Deanne's greatest joy was her large and loving family. She is survived by:
Three daughters: Kim (Terry) Thompson, Robin (Dave) Judkins, and Gina (Terry) Madsen.
Three sons: Kurt Ellsworth, Todd (Janene - deceased) Ellsworth, and Brady (Tiffany) Ellsworth.
A vast posterity: 36 grandchildren and 67 great-grandchildren.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Deanne's life was
defined by her testimony and service. She served a two-year proselyting mission in Rostov,
Russia. She was a dedicated disciple of Christ, "loving and serving her fellow man," and was
known for her exceptional example as a mother, demonstrated in both word and deed. She was
also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the group Germans from Russia.
Deanne was a mother deeply devoted to her family, her faith, and her many passions.
Deanne was a woman of many talents and interests:
Music: She was one of the top 10 finalists in the Miss Sacramento Beauty Pageant and shared
her beautiful voice by singing in many choirs, trios with her sisters, musicals, and leading music
for her church.
Hobbies: She enjoyed traveling the world with her family, riding motorcycles with her
friends, gardening, knitting, crocheting, swimming, baking and dedicating time to family
history and temple work.
