Dorothy Roberta Miller

Dorothy Roberta Taylor Miller, 87 years of age, life-long resident of Fair Oaks, California passed away on July 2, 2020 in Highland Utah surrounded by her family.  She is survived by her children, David Miller (Chris Miller), Robert Miller (Lynda Miller), Sarah Jill Walton (Mark Walton) and her daughter in law Keiko Miller (Douglas Miller), 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Miller Jr, her son Douglas Miller, and her parents, Leland Taylor and Roberta Lindsay Taylor.  Dorothy was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in many callings, always helping others in their time of need.  She had a great love of animals.  She was a graduate of McClatchy High School (Sacramento California) and Stanford Nursing School, working in the medical field until her retirement.  She was known for her caring bedside manner.  Her favorite activity in her later years was to spend time with her children and grandchildren.  She is best known for her being a loving mother, mother, grandmother, and friend to all she met.  A viewing will be held at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA 95610; 916-725-2109) on July 23, 2020 from 5-8 pm, and a “Zoom” memorial service on July 24, 2020 at 12:30PM.  She will be buried next to her husband and son at Fair Oaks Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to either the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Perpetual Education fund or the Sacramento SPCA.
