Enrique Barrameda Barcelona

Enrique, also known by his friends as Eking or Rique, is the son of Socorro and late Pedro Barcelona was born June 25, 1949 in Bacacay, Albay Philippines.  He is survived by his wife of 42 years Amelia Alta Barcelona. They raised three children: Jennifer (Jing), Jonathan (Than) and Anielyn (Anie). He has 11 grandchildren: (+)Janus Jean, Juliana Jean, Jilliane Jean, Jean Jahvier, John Lander, Marc Horen, Laren, John Nathan, Marc Angelo, Marianne Angela and Margaux Angelu. 

Rique started working at a very young age to help support his family and assist with the education of his siblings. He was a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. He worked many years as a Foreman in the Philippines until he moved to California in 2011. He was employed at Casa Coloma Health Care Center as a maintenance personnel  from 2017 until his health prevented his service in 2021. 

Rique professed his life to God and cherished praising the Lord. He took his time to pray and made sure he went to church even during the pandemic when he can only attend online mass. He was friendly and enjoyable to talk to. He had a magic effect that made people like him. He was very gentle and caring and treated everyone with respect. Whenever someone needed help, he selflessly gave of himself even when he had nothing left to give. He was the kindest person you could meet; always with a smile and ready when you needed him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him. 

His funeral service and viewing will be held this Friday, September 09, 2022, at 2pm PST at Saint John Vianney Parish (10497 Coloma Rd, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670) Father Giovanni Gamas will officiate the holy mass.
