Everett VonDell Anderson (86) of Granite Bay, California returned to his heavenly home on December 29, 2022. Dell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He prioritized quality time with his family, and was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

Dell was born to Everett Carl Anderson and Margaret Hatch on August 11,1936 in Brigham City, Utah. He was raised on his family’s dairy farm in Corinne, Utah with his four siblings. In his youth, he grew to love hard work and music. He often sang with his sisters and excelled in the FFA choir. 

Dell graduated from Box Elder High School in 1954, and went on to attend Utah State College in Logan, Utah on an agricultural scholarship before serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in West Germany from 1956–1959. After returning home, he enrolled at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. While attending, he met the love of his life, Claudette Pusey. They were married April 7, 1960 in the LDS temple in Logan, Utah. Together, they raised four children: Craig (Alice), Todd (Cookie), Kelly (Scott), and Kristen. They enjoyed 62 wonderful years together. 

Dell instilled his great love of music and performing in his children. The family was known throughout the region for their talents, performing at many events in the Sacramento area. He was an active member of his church to which he dedicated much of his time and resources. He and Claudette served in the Oakland and Sacramento temples for many years. They also served as senior missionaries in the California Roseville Mission. 

He spent a fruitful 34 years as a tax administrator for the state of California. He also continued his love for working the land by landscaping and spending time in his garden enjoying the long California growing season. Dell retained his farm boy charm and work ethic throughout his life.  

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, sister LaRaine and granddaughter Cassandra Knight. He is survived by his wife Claudette, his siblings Donna (Van), Alvin (Linda), and Robert (Karen), his four children, 16 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Dell was interred at the Newcastle Cemetery.
