F. Lee Lawrence Obituary

F. Lee Lawrence, 94, went home to his Lord on April 24, 2026. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Price Funeral Chapel with services at 9:30 AM ; graveside services will be conducted with full military honors following the funeral service for family members only.


F. Lee was born on October 29, 1931 in Miami Florida to Florence Sr. and Mae (Sapp) Lawrence. He grew up in Miami and was the second youngest of 11 children all of whom are deceased. While in Miami he worked on various jobs including construction, working with wildlife experts, etc.


Like his brothers, F. Lee joined the armed services. At the age of 17 he joined the Navy and worked with a specialized group of individuals , commander and four others,  in a military liaison/combat intelligence role. First he worked in China, and then as the conflict in Korea grew he served in the Korean War. He served his country, giving combat intelligence and technical troop movements of the enemy. It’s important to point out that he served in critical roles for the invasions of Osan, Pusan, Inchon and Pyongyang. 


After four years in the Navy, F. Lee was sent to Naval Air Station, Alameda, California to be discharged. There he met the love of his life, Mary Ann Pieper. Within three months they were married on November 5, 1952.


F. Lee had several different career paths over the years, he was in law-enforcement, policeman, sheriff, he was a carpenter and had his own construction business, and for the majority of his career he worked in health and safety on major construction projects.


F. Lee is survived by his son Lee (Jeannette) Lawrence; daughter, Diana (Ron) Davis; son Dean (Beverly) Lawrence; daughter, Susan Lawrence; four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. 


Proceeding F. Lee in death are his wife Mary Ann of more than 65 years of marriage and his granddaughter Rachel Lawrence.


F. Lee loved his family and grew in a strong faith in Jesus Christ, his Lord, and Savior.
