Frankie Darrell Moses Obituary

Frank Moses passed away in Sacramento, California on October 16th, 2024 after a long brave battle with COPD and congestive heart failure. Frank was born in Pampa Texas on November 27th, 1937 to Horace and Virginia Moses. The family made California their home when he was 2 years old. They settled in LA County and he graduated from Huntington Park High school in 1956 which is where he met his future wife Norma. After high school he joined the National Guard. He married norma in 1958 followed by the birth of their three children Kevin, Karen and Cheryl. After their divorce in 1975 he later married Jan and adopted her son Chris and helped raise her daughter Wendy. When he moved to Sacramento for a new job opportunity in 1987 he met his life partner Laura and was with her until his passing. For over 4 decades he worked as a roofer, demonstrating his hard work and resilience daily. But beyond his professional life his heart was always with his family, whom he loved and cherished deeply. He was immensely proud of every one of them and his joy for life was contagious. When he was young Frank’s passions were cars, music and dancing. As he grew older, he loved his fishing trips to Mexico with his brother Gene sometimes accompanied by his son, and sons-in-law and good friends. He was an excellent cook and anyone that knew him knew he loved to eat good food. Frank was the type of person who never met a stranger. He had an incredible way of making everyone feel like family with his wonderful sense of humor and friendliness. He loved telling jokes and always keeping those around him smiling. We referred to him as “the Miracle Man” as his love for life and his family kept him going for years as he struggled with health issues. His warmth and generosity will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known him. Though Frank is no longer with us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Rest in peace, you will be greatly missed but will live on in the stories, laughter and love you leave behind. Frank was preceded in death by his son Kevin and is survived by his children Karen and Cheryl, and Chris, his partner Laura, his sibling’s Gene, Linda, Greg and Robin and his many Grandchildren and great Grandchildren.  Price Funeral Chapel (916-725-2109), directors.
