Frederick “Dennis” Wymore passed away peacefully 12-3-20. Born in Sacramento, April 27 1946 to the late Fred and Louise Wymore. He leaves behind his loving wife, Kathy, of 53 years, and devoted daughter Kristen Wymore Clements (Jeremy), grandchildren Logan, Mitchell and Nellie, stepsister Carla VanDelPol (Bob), stepbrothers Garth (Kathy) and Eric Gunnarson, brother in law Gary Miklos, sister in law Terri Barnewolt (Dan) and “sis” Bobbie. He was predeceased by his sister Marsha Miller and stepmother Phyllis Wymore.
Dennis attended Hiram Johnson High School and Sacramento City College. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He worked in the floral industry as a young man and then the Rio Linda Union School District. Throughout his life he enjoyed scouting, camping, fishing, hunting, boating, traveling, spending time at his mountain cabin, watching his grandkids participate in sports and most recently corvetting with friends.
Dennis will be remembered for his sense of humor and his corny “grandpa” jokes. He was a real handy man and he could fix almost anything. He enjoyed creating and puttering. He was one of a kind and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. There will be a celebration of life in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Loaves and Fishes and SPCA.
