George Thomas Hopkins was born October 5, 1944 to Gladys Elizabeth and Archie B. Hopkins in San Francisco, CA., passed away peacefully on April 25, 2021. He was the second of four sons in the family. George served proudly in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. Returning from active duty, he settled in California, and spent 30 years in Morgan Hill. Later, he learned the construction trades. George enjoyed a successful career in the construction industry until he retired in 2019.
George is predeceased by his parents and a younger brother, Maurice. He was a devoted father to his two daughters and one son, who survive him. They are Jeff Hopkins, Kirsten Caravalho and Sonya DelRio. Left to miss their Grandfather are Justine, Aiden, Carressa and Maverick. He is survived by four siblings: Diane Hopkins, Douglas Hopkins, Mary Rianda and John Hopkins plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Private memorial services will be held Friday, May 14.
