We bid farewell to our father, son, brother, cousin, and dear friend George Bernard Whitney IV who tragically passed away on September 19, 2024 at the age of 57.
George, fondly known to some as “Junior” or “Barney”, was born on September 2, 1967, in Vallejo California. He was an industrious soul that always cherished the satisfaction of working with his hands and had a desire to help people. After a few years of working as a licensed general contractor he started on a career path that took him all over the country and working for various state and federal emergency management organizations including OES, and FEMA. After working in the industry for over two decades he started Complete-EM LLC. for the purpose of making life easier and the work simpler for emergency managers all over the country.
George is survived by his mother Anna, brother Bryan, cousin Lena, children Jacob and Rebecca, grandchildren Cleo, Beau, and Bennett, and nephews Josh and Austin.
George was a lover of the outdoors. He always tried to leave cherished memories of camping trips, fishing trips, hikes and spending time in the garden or playing with his dog Dexter. He was known by many for his sense of humor. He also has many treasured family memories of cooking with his children. George had a habit of making friends everywhere he went and a generous heart that cared deeply for the people in his life. He will be missed as he was a beloved member of many different communities.
